The maximum speed of the Capstan 1000 depends on the rotational speed of the drum. To adjust the retrieval speed, simply decrease the tension on the retrieved line, which in turn helps you maintain control over a very heavy load with little effort. Boaters will also love the all-aluminum housing, durable polyester paint finish, and stainless-steel shafts, fasteners, and hardware, which stand up to nasty weather and heavy use.
